Dotted Line Rounds Out Executive Leadership Team with Key Hires and a Promotion on the Heels of Record Growth

Dotted Line, a fast-growing marketing agency that’s built to help ambitious brands grow, has expanded its leadership team with the appointment of two executives to drive the agency’s future growth and success. Marci Schnur joins Dotted Line as managing director of client services and Jason Anderson joins as creative director. Emily Shane, previously the communications director at Dotted Line, has also been promoted to strategy director.

Marci, Jason, and Emily bring a combined 60+ years of distinct experience at nationally renowned agencies and business-to-consumer and business-to-business brands. As members of Dotted Line’s executive leadership team, they will collaborate on a cohesive approach and strategic oversight of client services, project management, marketing strategy, and creative work. They will report to Dotted Line founder and CEO Lauren Sweeney.

Marci Schnur, Managing Director of Client Services

As managing director of client services, Marci will be responsible for overseeing Dotted Line’s account and project management teams. From her experience at Ogilvy, Havas Sports Entertainment and Iris Worldwide, she brings a stellar track record of leading large, collaborative, and diverse teams, and building long-term, successful client relationships. 

Marci has more than 25 years of experience creating and implementing local, national, and global marketing campaigns designed to build brand awareness, drive sales, and generate gross revenue. Much of her career has been in the experiential marketing space, working on large-scale, complex programs and events for The Coca-Cola Company, Samsung, Delta Air Lines, eBay, Campari and The Weather Channel. She spent more than five years at Ogilvy working on IHG Hotel & Resorts’ loyalty programs and won a gold Effie for her work on the IHG Priority Club Rewards Visa program.

 

Jason Anderson, Creative Director

As creative director, Jason will oversee creative and content development for Dotted Line’s roster of brands. He is charged with elevating the agency’s overall creative approach by applying his 20 years of creative agency experience to clients’ strategy. Jason will build and lead a talented team of copywriters, art directors, designers and developers to produce engaging communications and experiences across all forms of media and events. 

Jason combines a skill for strategic thinking and an empathetic point of view to create memorable and highly effective work. Leaning into conceptual, copywriting and leadership skills at agencies like Bernstein-Rein, AdFarm and NDP, Jason has used his ability to think creatively for marketing and business challenges to develop and produce award-winning creative for clients such as Walmart, Time Warner, Bayer and VCU Health. His work has earned an Emmy Award, Richmond Show golds and publication in Creative Review and Archive Magazine.

 

Emily Shane, Strategy Director


Emily brings more than 16 years of experience helping B2B and B2C organizations tell their stories through strategic communications to her new role as strategy director. She is responsible for leading an integrated strategy approach that includes paid media, brand strategy, social strategy, analytics and new business. Emily possesses a keen ability to see and understand a business in its entirety, a skill that helps inform the global strategic view for Dotted Line’s clients and fuels their business growth.

Prior to joining Dotted Line, Emily honed her marketing communications expertise at the Hodges Partnership, one of Richmond’s largest public relations firms, and has worked with clients including AMF Bowling, Dave & Buster’s and The Container Store to craft and implement thoughtful, effective, audience-focused communications programs.
