BOOLAB

boolab is a directors’ collective dedicated to motion graphics, animation (2D and 3D) and the development of other visual techniques, both traditional and cutting or bleeding edge. As a company and as a team, boolab now has fourteen years’ experience in the market. With a unique profile, it has become a benchmark in Europe for audiovisual innovation.

boolab is based in Barcelona, but its calling is worldwide. 

Aude & Carlos

Aude & Carlos are a directing duo specialising in a wide variety of styles of animation. Their short films have received worldwide acclaim from numerous animation festivals including Annecy. Their latest commercial for B’twin was featured and praised in Motionographer. 

Jeff Feuerzeig

Jeff Feuerzeig directed, wrote and created from scratch The Devil and Daniel Johnston (2006), which forever changed the way documentaries are made through the rare combination of high-class production values and the dismissal of a rule book. The feature film was released theatrically by Sony Picture Classics and has earned ecstatic reviews all over the world, astonishing, enchanting, and devastating audiences. For this work, Feuerzeig won the Best Director prize for a documentary at the Sundance Film Festival 2005. His earlier films include the feature documentary Half Japanese: The Band That Would Be King (1994) and PBS? Jon Hendricks: The Freddie Sessions (1990).
Jeff began his career as a film editor working out of Red Car, New York before taking the helm as director. His ability to elicit compelling performances from real people, as well as his work in the realm of comedy have made his commercial work some of the most memorable. Commercial clients include IBM, Wal Mart, Budweiser, Cache Valley Cheese and One Touch.
Jeff is currently writing and directing The Bayonne Bleeder a feature narrative/documentary hybrid film about the legendary Chuck Wepner who went 15 rounds with Muhammad Ali in 1975 and inspired Sylvester Stallone to write Rocky.
In addition, Jeff has completed writing God Bless Tiny Tim, a feature biopic about the legendary singer who Tiptoe?d Through the Tulips in 1968.

David Lobser

New York based director/animator/artist David Lobser keeps busy servicing A-list studios like Psyop, Brand New School, Blacklist, WETA and @Radical Media. Raised in Colorado and schooled at SVA in NY, Lobser also carves out time to teach (Parsons and Harvard) and conjure peculiar and wonderful personal films.

Robert is an amazing visual storyteller, whether a lush cinematic odyssey or a subtle yet hilarious comedy; he is a master of his craft. Highly memorable commercials and campaigns fill his reel for clients such as Volkswagen, Fiat, Lexus, Michelob, Tommy Hilfiger, Ford, HSBC, Visa, Chrysler, Verizon, Jackson Triggs, Land Rover, Southwest Airlines and Toyota. 

Reza Rasoli

Born in Germany, as an Indonesian and Persian hybrid baby, raised in Los Angeles, a graduate of Otis Art and Design digital media department in 2006, Reza was directing, producing, animating, writing and designing for prestigious clients/brands for commercial projects right out of the gate. Reza was a 1/3 co-founder/co-director that worked under the directing collective name of Three Legged Legs. A total of six years went into producing numerous fantastic visual storytelling pieces with the Legs. 

Bernie Roux

An award winning mixed media and animation director previously represented by againstallodds/Passion Pictures worldwide.
Bernie is a traditional 2D & stop frame director and animator, having directed/animated on over a 120 TV commercials, stings, idents, PSA’s, social awareness campaigns, music video’s and short films.
He’s worked internationally for 16 years, winning awards ranging from the ‘Silver Lion at Cannes ’ to numerous NTVA’s, Avanti’s,Vuka’s and Loerie awards in South Africa. 

Rogier Wieland

Rogier is a graphic and audiovisual designer based in The Hague, the Netherlands. Together with his interns, friends and his cat he creates rich stop motion animation, often created with materials like paper, cardboard and wood.
