To shift this brand perception, we chose the world's largest tech event, CES, as our stage and showed tech consumers, potential business partners, and journalists what Canon is truly capable of.We decided to bring the historic skate spot LOVE Park—documented extensively through Canon cameras in the past—back to life through Canon’s latest, cutting-edge technology. Skatable obstacles from LOVE Park were recreated and combined with an accurate virtual environment, in a first-of-its-kind mixed-reality skate session that made the dream of up-and-coming Japanese skaters come true.Skateboarding at LOVE park could be experienced and seen like never before, thanks to Canon’s Volumetric Video System which combines a 360 green screen with input from over 100 synchronized 4K cameras to instantly generate live 3D footage.
