Rising rental and house prices in Canada are forcing people to choose smaller living spaces. So when interiors chain IKEA opened in downtown Toronto, it wanted to demonstrate how its products could help. So with its agency Rethink, it turned real homes into showcases for IKEA-style living, transforming windows into posters. Passers-by simply had to glance into the windows to see objects that they could buy almost around the corner. Presumably, for those who lived in the spaces, there was also the option to pull the curtains.
