| Brief | ContextIn 2014, the World Health Organization declared the elimination of Hepatitis C as a public health priority and aims at eliminating the disease by 2030.In France, the French Ministry of Health committed to eliminate it by 2025. To reach that goal, it is necessary to test the French population in order to identify and cure the patients who are often unaware they are infected.ObjectiveThe goal of this campaign is to raise awareness on Hepatitis C and drive screenings across the country.AnalysisHepatitis C is called a “silent disease” because it’s symptom free.In France 75 000 people are infected but unaware of it, since it’s simply transmitted through blood (surgeries, tattoos, piercings, dental care, use and share of razors, toothbrush or drug material).Untreated, Hepatitis C can evolve in a cirrhosis or a liver cancer.Nowadays we cure Hepatitis C within weeks with no side effects.Creative ideaOur idea, turn the silence of the disease around and create the loudest campaign ever against Hepatitis C: NOISE AGAINST HEPATITIS C - #DUBRUITCONTRELHEPATITECA colorful, impactful and straight-to-the-point global campaign built around 3 key messages: 75 000 people are unaware they are infected with Hepatitis C Hepatitis C is everyone’s business Nowadays we cure Hepatitis Cand a single call to action: Pull Hepatitis C out of the silence, get tested.The campaign relies on a TV Ad to raise awareness on the disease, its risks and generate screenings.A positive campaign to stand out from the usual preventive campaigns’ tone of voice since in our case, we rely on a major breakthrough: Hepatitis C can now be cured.Get tested, get cured! |
