LICRA is a French association dedicated to the fight against anti-semitism and other forms of racism. During the "Post Racism" campaign, an AI detected racist tweets and posts. Each racist remark was matched with an old propaganda poster carrying a similar message, and sent back to the author to illustrate the true impact of what they had shared. The posters were sourced from museums.
LICRA is the leading French association dedicated to the fight against anti-semitism and other forms of racism. In France, antisemitism and racism are growing problems on social networks; they are exposed and exhibited to a wide audience with no filter. For our « Post Racism » campaign, we developed an AI to detect racist tweets and posts. Each racist remark was automatically matched with a historical propaganda poster that carried a similar message, and sent back to the author to illustrate the true impact of what they had shared. The historical propaganda posters were sourced thanks to the participation of museums. Some were adapted with today’s tweets and placed in outdoor locations and press to create an impactful print campaign. Every asset of the campaign lead to a petition to change the law and condemn online racism.
