Ragnhild Holstad

Ragnhild is the Head of Research & Development at Milan-based production company The Family. She hails from a small village on a medium-sized island off the coast of Norway. She left for Italy at 18 to learn the language and generally just absorb the culture. She has a BA in Advertising and PR from IULM in Milan in addition to a degree in Italian from the University of Oslo. Ragnhild started her career at Mercurio Cinematografica as a directors scout, then moved to Filmmaster where she headed up the R&D department before she joined The Family as their Head of Research and Development in 2016. Her passion is to find the perfect match between the script and the director, to spot the great new talent out there and to continue growing the company roster.

Ragnhild has lived in London, Oslo, Rome, Siena and Milan, she speaks 3 languages, loves cross country skiing and Italian coffee.
